Generally, professional cleaning processes to Australian standards using neutral ph detergents will be able to be performed multiple times on textiles treated by Premium Surface Protection before re treatment is necessary.

Some detergents, presprays and solvent based cleaners can strip out our protectors prematurely when dealing with heavy or unusual soiling, in this scenario we recommend re treatment straight away, otherwise every 4 to 5 years or 2nd or third professional clean as required. Yes it is! Fibre Protector will not alter or change the colour of fabric, leather or rugs.

Decorgard Fibre Protector won’t change the texture, look or feel.  It leaves no residue. Once it’s dry you won’t know it’s on there.

No it wont stop bullets or paint, bleach or battery acid, or highly acidic stains e.g. Urine, vomit, bleach, iodine, ink or food dyes, but will resist spills of normal household beverages such as soft drink and juices, the things you are more likely to spill, plus it makes your spot cleaning much easier from those little sticky fingers and the like. It also helps keep your furnishings cleaner than if unprotected and extends the life of your fabrics, leather, carpet and rugs.

Even though no warranty is implied or given on highly acidic soiling, e.g. Urine, vomit, bleach, iodine, ink or food dyes, testing and customer feedback has shown they can still be successfully cleaned after application of a Decorgard surface protection treatment if prompt action is taken, if this type of soiling is left, the fibres can be burnt and structural integrity of the fibre changed, it is not merely a mark to be removed with spot cleaning but a permanently damaged fibre. This type of spill would cause instant permanent damage if unprotected.

You can use the treated upholstery or leather after 4 -5 hours. Area rugs and carpets are best left overnight before foot traffic and large furniture items are placed on them.
